Our Key Services

We have expertise to handle a broad range of commercial, contract, health, safety & environment and employment law matters, which covers the vast majority of legal issues that small to medium businesses deal with day-to-day. Large or particularly complex transactions and litigious matters generally fall outside the scope of work that can handled thoroughly and efficiently by our part-time in-house lawyers.  However, we can provide excellent value for this type of work by using our network to identify and engagethe best external lawyer for each job, by managing their fees and engagement generally, and by assisting external lawyers as required, saving you time, stress and money.

Legal InSite offers a broad range of legal services for businesses, including:

  • Ownership arrangements (partnership, shareholders and unit holders agreements)
  • Legal trading structures and asset protection strategies
  • Intellectual property advice – identification, protection and commercialisation
  • Employment advice – contracts, policies and procedures
  • Arrangements with suppliers – consulting and service agreements
  • Arrangements with customers/clients – terms and conditions, supply agreements, consulting agreements, agency and distribution agreements

Legal Insite also has access to an established and trusted network of professionals in finance, information technology, project management and business advisory that can assist the organisation for non-legal advice and in support of creating a sound and informed strategy, business infrastructure, systems and processes.

Ultimately, the aim of the engagement of Legal Insite is to help build a sustainable organisation through assisting to identify and improve areas of potential opportunity and risk across the business – reducing exposure to legal liability, and strengthening the organisation across the board through better protection of its intellectual property, confidential information, client, supplier and employee relationships and so on.

How It Works

We start our work with each client with a legal health check to identify any areas where there are legal ‘gaps’ or where legal advice and support is required.

The legal health check usually takes about 2-3 days, which includes interviews with the owners and other key personnel and gathering the required information, preparing a draft report, presenting the draft report and seeking feedback and input, finalising and presenting the report and developing a list of priorities and a work plan to address any identified issues in the timeframe and manner that best suits the business.

We primarily work on-site at your office on a flexible part-time basis and we think and act as part of your team rather than as an ‘external’ lawyer.

We aim to manage all of the day-to-day legal matters, advice, reviews and drafting of documents for our clients.  Because our lawyers are very senior and experienced and we get to know you, your business and your team we can give prompt, clear advice specifically tailored to the individual circumstances of each business on a broad range of legal issues.

A key part of our role is also to help proactively identify and improve areas of potential legal opportunity and risk across the business – reducing exposure to legal liability, and helping to strengthen the organisation across the board through better protection of its intellectual property, confidential information, client, supplier and employee relationships and so on.

We respect any existing relationships you may already have with external lawyers and other service providers, and we are very happy to work with and support them as required in the best interests of the organisation.
